Front Desk Administrator Job Description
Summary
This position is responsible for making sure that our front office runs smoothly, and to help provide our patients with excellent customer service. You will be responsible for answering phones, insurance verification, patient scheduling and other miscellaneous office duties. Organization and the ability to multi-task will be crucial in fulfilling this position. Teamwork is a key factor in keeping our office running efficiently.

Specific Duties
- Greet patients upon their arrival, check them in and make sure all paperwork is complete, up to date and in chart. This includes making copies of insurance cards and ID if necessary.
- Make sure all information regarding health history, and insurance is correctly entered in patient file.
- Answer incoming calls
- Schedule appointments
- Verify all patient insurance by calling or looking up online. Make sure all insurance information is updated in patient file (in computer)
- Call all patients to confirm their scheduled appointments 2 days before
- Complete preparations for next day, including but not limited to: pulling, organizing, and preparing patient charts.
- Help maintain a full schedule
- Various other office duties as needed
- Scan referrals and email with x-rays to other offices
- Communicate with patients through phone, text, and email
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Advanced computer skills, including Dentrix, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn other software systems
- Office experience
- Dental background beneficial
Interpersonal
- Advanced verbal and phone skills for communication with insurance and patients
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
