POSITION SUMMARY:

The Front Staff Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, greeting and checking in all patients for office appointments, including paperwork for patients to fill out, scanning insurance cards, entering demographic information into the electronic health record, and working closely with physicians and staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets and directs all patients within the practice
• Obtaining patient demographics and verifying insurance information at each visit
• Schedules any necessary appointments
• Reviewing patient schedules for the next day and making preparations for the next day
• Assist other Staff within the office as needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned task as well as direction on given assignments
• Able to work collectively with administration and staff

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
