About Jessie's Nutty Cups
Jessie’s Nutty Cups is a woman owned and operated confectionery business in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We make handcrafted peanut butter and almond butter cups in a variety of flavors. The nut butter cups are sold via our website and to specialty retailers nationwide such as Uncommon Goods, SnackMagic, Murray’s Cheese, Chelsea Market Baskets and Totto’s Market to name a few. All Nutty Cups are made by hand with our very own freshly ground peanut butter and belgian chocolate. We love to have fun with our flavors and carry 7 stock flavors with new seasonal flavors every couple of months.

About the Role
Jessie's Nutty Cups is in search of a Fulfillment Associate for the upcoming holiday season. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and accurately under pressure with a strong attention to detail. A passion for chocolate, peanut butter and small business is a definite plus. You will be joining a small team in a shared kitchen space in Sunset Park.
The Fulfillment Associate is expected to take on the following essential roles and responsibilities:
- Packing gift boxes and two-packs for wholesale orders; Securely wrapping packages so product arrives intact;
- Adding ingredient/allergen labels, insert cards and decorative bows;
- Helping track product and shipping inventories;
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cleaning your workspace at the end of each day (to include dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and floor cleaning duties);
- Maintaining shipping logs for wholesale orders;
- Ability to have fun and be just a bit Nutty with us.
Position type: Temporary, full-time, non-exempt
Position hours: 30-40 hours per week; Monday-Friday, 9:00 - 5:00
Position compensation: $16 per hour, with option to increase up to $18 per hour at the end of the 30 day introductory period
Position Location: Sunset Park, Brooklyn
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Requirements
A strong candidate will have the following required prior experience, skills and dispositions:
- Ability to tie ribbon into nice bows for gift boxes;
- Excellent attention to detail, eagle eyes
- Understanding of food safety and best practices for maintaining a clean and healthy kitchen/food preparation environment;
- Inventory Management experience in a food service setting;
- Ability to organize time and tasks efficiently;
- Ability to follow directions;
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines;
- Ability to be on your feet most of the day (up to 10 hours a day at times);
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- All employees are requested to be vaccinated against Covid-19
The ideal candidate will also have the following preferred prior experience skills and dispositions:
- Culinary training is a plus but not required;
- Food handlers license (if you don't have one, we'll pay for you to get it);
- An interest or background in chocolate, baking and/or cooking;
- Experience in a commercial kitchen setting, including the usage of large kitchen machinery.
