Job description

Job Role:

• Mow, fertilize, and water lawns, shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants and trees
• Prepare beds for planting
• Remove leaves and rubbish from grounds
• Spray herbicides as trained and directed
• Weed small areas
• In a training capacity, and/or under close supervision, cultivate, prune, plant, transplant, fertilize, and water shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants, and trees
• May operate walking power mowers or other non-mobile power equipment
• Adhere to safety rules

Requirements:

• Demonstrated strong communications skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to understand and follow job-related instructions given in English, either verbally or in writing.
• Basic computer skills(e-mail/Calendaring) and use of smartphones.
• Valid California Non-commercial Class C license.(optional)
• Horticultural industry-related certification is preferred.
• Basic horticultural knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Overtime

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

• Horticultural Industry-Related Certification (Preferred)
