Company Overview

The A-1 Construction Companies are a wholly owned subsidiary of MasTec, Inc (MTZ), a fortune 500 publicly traded infrastructure construction company. The A-1 Construction companies consist of 8 separate union and non-union legal entities that perform construction, mining and trucking operations primarily in WI, MN and TX. The largest of these entities are A1 Excavating and Stout Excavating Group. A1 Excavating is a Wisconsin based Underground Utility Contractor specializing in Excavating, Site Clearing and Underground Utilities. With over 40 years of experience in the WI, MN region, A1 is a top competitor for all water main, sanitary and storm Sewer work in the region. Stout Excavating Group (SEG) operates in the high growth aggregate mining industry primarily focused on mining and civil construction in multiple states across the United States. The A-1 Companies maintain offices in both Bloomer, WI and Converse, TX.

Applicants must be willing to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and have references available. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Operating Positions Availble include:

Haul Truck drivers - articulating trucks---Cat745/John Deere 410/460.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Heavy Equipment experience preferred.
• MSHA training preferred, but not required.
• Ability to safely operate, drive and maneuver heavy equipment around the mine.
• Possess effective communication skills.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

• Hermitage, TN 37076: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
