Best Line Equipment is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Prep Technician. The position will report to our Harrisburg, PA facility, but will be required to travel to other Best Line locations to provide support in the preparation of new and used equipment for retail. The successful candidate will be supplied with a cell phone, laptop, service vehicle, fuel card, and other items necessary to successfully performing off location.

Job Overview:

• Provide sales and service support by traveling to various dealerships (may require overnight travel.)
• Prepare new and used heavy equipment for retail (may include servicing and custom fabrication when needed.)
• Organize materials and parts lists and create estimates.
• Interact with customers ensuring equipment is prepared to their satisfaction.
• Upfit attachments per customer requests.

Requirements:

• Must possess strong welding skills and hydraulic and electrical experience.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Must be able to operate heavy machinery and use manufacturer specific software.
• Ability to read schematics and repair manuals is an advantage.
• Self-motivated with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• A high school diploma or equivalent industry experience will qualify.
• Starting pay rate dependent on experience and certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Estimated Annual Compensation: $52,000 - $70,000, dependent on experience
