Star Cinema Grill is an upscale, dine-in theater concept that offers guests first-run cinema releases, an extensive food menu, and a full-service bar with a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits.

Who we are seeking:

A people centric Hospitality Manager that will supervise daily operations to ensure delivery of Star Cinema Grill’s common goal. Provide leadership and development to front of house service team members. Communicate and uphold company expectations, vision, and core values. Maintain a professional and safe work environment.

What you will do for us:

The following tasks are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive, other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Assumes primary responsibility for the supervision of Front of House service teams.
  • Accomplish restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieve restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer- service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparation.
  • Avoid legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage

Commission).

  • Maximize bar profitability by ensuring portion control, monitoring accuracy of charges.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; assist in maintaining security systems; assist in maintaining parking lot and walkways.
  • Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement, monitoring food presentation and service.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Hiring, training and coaching FOH team members on company’s steps of service.

What you bring to the team:

The following qualifications are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive.

  • At least one year of people leadership experience within hospitality industry, preferably full service fast casual concept
  • Front of House experience as a server, food runner.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing business needs.
  • Passion for providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Exemplary organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be present at work as scheduled, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Working knowledge of Fourth platform, particularly Hot Schedules, as well as Aloha.
  • Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift 25lbs, with or without accommodations.
