The Bunker Hills Event Center in Coon Rapids is hiring immediately for House Attendants to set up for events.

This position performs cleaning activities with primary responsibility for completing room cleaning, set ups and break downs. Sets and maintains all audio-visual equipment in working order as needed. Sets and stores all staging, tables, linens, skirts, chairs, podiums and dance floors in a timely and organized manner in the designated storage location. Completes all catering equipment pulls to required specifications, and transports food, china, and equipment, between storage and work areas. Cleans, maintains and organizes all catering event spaces including storerooms, banquet support areas, event center lobby areas and restrooms including, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture, fixtures and equipment. Additional responsibilities may include unloading hot boxes, loading and unloading catering trucks, and performing other services as determined by type of event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for interpreting event orders and diagrams and setting event rooms to contracted specifications.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on the set up and operation of all facility equipment including tables, chairs, audiovisual, dance floors, staging etc., and ensures all items are returned to designated storage locations.
  • Sets all tables, chairs, staging, stairways, railings, dance floors, edging, and pipe and drape.
  • Sets all linen and skirting, ensuring they are clean and free of stains and wrinkles.
  • Sets and checks all audiovisual equipment prior to guest arrival. Secures all audiovisual equipment in the designated locked storage location. Is responsible for the inventory pars of AV products and informs Director of Hospitality immediately if equipment is missing.
  • Completes equipment pulls and room sets 1-2 days prior to an event and to departmental specifications.
  • Maintains member/guest entrances, lobby areas, restrooms and outside perimeter locations prior to and during events, including but not limited to snow and ice removal when necessary.
  • Sets up, executes, and breaks down water service for meetings.
  • Places bars per event order or diagram, plugs in and tapes down cords at all bars.
  • Transports supplies, china, and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Maintains close communication with supervisor on all events, including supply needs and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Maintains linen storage areas and ensures linen is stored and organized by color and size.
  • Stores all tables, chairs, podiums and dance floors in an organized manner and in the proper locations.
  • Stores all china, glass and silverware in its proper place and at proper levels.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and security of all banquet equipment (chairs, dance floor, chaffers, etc.) , function rooms, storerooms, banquet support areas and related areas within the department: sweeps and mops floors, vacuums, dusts, washes windows and glass; polishes brass, door push plates and light switch covers.
  • Ensures vacuums are in working condition.
  • Cleans and stocks restrooms for all events including doors, urinals, toilets, stall doors and entryways.
  • Ensures event rooms are left in a manner that is appropriate for guest tours and merchandising of Bunker Hills Golf Club.
  • Dusts furniture and all wood surfaces cleans glass and mirrors, polishes brass and stainless steel.
  • Assists servers in clearing, re-setting and straightening rooms as required.
  • Assists servers with clearing trays in the dish room when necessary.
  • Complies with the facilities recycling policies and procedures.
  • Attends required meetings, pre-meal meetings, and training sessions as assigned.
  • Exercises care, performs required maintenance and ensures all operating instructions, safety standards and guidelines are followed in relation to Bunker Hills Golf Clubs equipment and/or facility assets.
  • Uses the house person checklist and/or banquet event order to ensure no task has been missed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, walking, squatting, lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs. (food, beverages, trays, inventory, etc.) for extended periods of time for event execution.
