The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for performing broad professional human resources tasks to support policies and programs including benefit programs, employee relations, recruiting and HRIS, responds to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Resolves employee concerns using employee relations skills and methodologies.

Essential Functions

  • Implement HR strategies and policies
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process for Gibson (including manufacturing facilities)
  • Creating a positive work environment through relationship building
  • Benefits support
  • Employee relations
  • Occasional support with time-card entries for payroll
  • Maintain compliance to all state and federal regulations
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Projects and/or other duties as requested by Senior Management, HR and Production teams
  • Be an integral member of various project teams to change/improve processes as the company evolves

Other duties

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with company employees in all locations so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
  • Leveraging strengths of the current HR team members, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals
  • Providing leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels; creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment
  • Leading change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Employee can be asked to perform other duties that are reasonable within the area of expertise


Skills and Competencies

  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong team work and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, very high-growth environment
  • Curious in nature and always looking to question, learn, and look for better ways to do things

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • SHRM Designation a plus
  • Minimum 4 years of HR experience (manufacturing environment a plus)

  • Sales office locations
  • Supplier manufacturing locations

Travel Requirements

  • Potential travel to and between the company’s manufacturing and sales locations may be required (5-10%).
