NATURE OF WORK

• Operate ice resurfacer and maintain ice.
• Assist Facility Manager in all phases of operation, including custodial duties, basic maintenance and mechanical checks.
• Respond to customer inquiries/concerns.
• Opening and closing procedures.
• Cash handling.
• Sell arena merchandise.
• Sharpen ice skates.
• Responsible for coverage of assigned schedule.
• Incident/accident reports and related paper work.
• Coordinates efforts to ensure Richfield is an equitable, inclusive and respectful organization and supports the City’s mission, vision and core values.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

• Candidates who are 18 years of age or older.

• Demonstrates an ability to make change and handle money accurately.

• Demonstrates an ability to understand and respect the diversity of customers and co-workers, effectively communicating with individuals whose first language may be one other than English.

• Considerable exposure to cold, mechanical hazards and electrical hazards.
• Essential functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for considerable physical activity such as standing, walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, bending, stopping, squatting, and lifting materials and supplies ranging from 20-60 lbs.
• Must have physical ability to operate ice resurfacing and maintenance equipment.
