Westcliff is seeking a full time Information Technology (IT) Assistant to join the Technology Department. The IT Assistant will provide technical support and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems for faculty, staff, and students. This person reports to the Director of Technology.

  • The IT Assistant must be able to work the 11am-8pm shift, and weekend as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists IT team in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems.
  • Assists faculty and students when needed in class for technical issues related to hardware and software system
  • Assists in establishing staff and faculty computer logins
  • Troubleshoot network systems and computer hardware as needed
  • Resolve technical issue for staff, students and faculty e-learning portal technical supports
  • Assists in equipment moves, deployment, and equipment tracking
  • Documents maintenance for all computer systems as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned by the director

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Experience resolving technical issues and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Google Suite / Office 365 experience and Microsoft Office proficiency

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent
  • Works experience in works in education environment (preferred)
  • Must be knowledgeable about computer hardware and software
