The Intralogistics Sales Manager is responsible for developing and leading Bailey’s Intralogistics / Intralogistics group, which includes the sale of warehouse design, racking, conveyor, automated storage and retrieval systems, material handling robotics (goods-to-person robotics, etc.), operations consulting, and engineered solutions, as well as indirect responsibility for narrow and very narrow aisle equipment and telematics sales. This role will act as leader of the group with responsibility for strategic, business development, and operational execution, and will both hire and lead dedicated teams and work cross-functionally with other divisions. This is an intrapreneurial role in a huge growth area. Teamwork is expected, as clear communication and collaboration with Regional Sales Directors and Officers is required to set and achieve regional and company-wide goals. The Intralogistics Sales Manager reports directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow Bailey’s Intralogistics sales practice, driving revenue for warehouse design, racking, conveyor, AGV / automation, automated storage and retrieval systems, material handling robotics (goods-to-person robotics, etc.), operations consulting, engineered solutions, and support the growth of narrow / very narrow aisle equipment and telematics
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to define strategy for Intralogistics Sales practice, including solution prioritization, partner strategy, and operational plan
  • Develop new partnerships with solutions providers, including material handling robotics, ASRS, etc.
  • Define the go-to-market motion for the Intralogistics and Sales team and collaborate with Ops on the implementation motion
  • Lead business development in partnership with Sales team
  • Work with HR partners to hire and develop new talent
  • Hire and manage a team of CAD designers, dedicated intralogistics sales engineers, and project managers
  • Oversee pricing and promotion strategy for intralogistics solutions
  • Provide backup to Regional Sales Directors as needed to ensure consistent sales leadership
  • Work with Marketing to build awareness and generate leads for Intralogistics Sales
Requirements:

Education/Training/Experience:

  • College Degree (required), with degree in industrial engineering or business preferred
  • MBA (preferred)
  • 2+ years of leading teams
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, material handling robotics, automated storage & retrieval systems, automation / engineered solutions sales, management consulting in an operations setting
