POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains accurate count of all merchandise, and oversees the inventory processes. Identifies, investigates and corrects daily inventory discrepancies. Works closely with Loss Prevention to identify and track through the use of accurate logs of all shrink, theft, and damaged goods. Audits various reports, product pricing for accuracy, and takes corrective action when required. Follows proper confidentiality, safety and security procedures.


DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates with supervisors and managers to review reports, issues, and establish priorities. Provide detailed information at daily inventory meeting, and cover any issues from previous or current day.
  • Oversees all daily cycle counts. Investigates any count variances, and makes adjustments for Random Daily Cycle counts as required.
  • Run Out of Stock, Scratch, Negative, Items with no Location, and D&D reports daily.
  • Prepare warehouse for annual inventory, oversee all physical inventory and provide support to auditors at end of year audit.
  • Provide support to receiving ensuring all inventory received is correct and make appropriate changes as necessary. Maintain UPC codes in computer system. Provide support to vendors as needed.
  • Follows all established inventory preparation guidelines and requirements.
  • Work with Pricing, A/P, and purchasing departments to assist with research.
  • Receive cigarettes, and provide complete cigarette count on Friday, researching any variance, make adjustments and communicate to management as required.
  • Provide support to Cash and Carry to ensure all products are scanning correctly.
  • Ensure all new items are entered into system and have locations. Run tags and ensure they are properly displayed.
  • Follows all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Bi-lingual a plus but not required
  • Must pass Background Check


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred


Experience

  • Inventory Control or comparable experience with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Salary range $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experienced


Other Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer, math and legible handwriting
  • Ability to utilize data entry and formulating with documents and spreadsheets
  • Required bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items with need to lift and move bulky and heavy items without assistance up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
