PURPOSE OF POSITION: *
This position is responsible for the day-to-day support of IT/PC Hardware/Software troubleshooting and assistance for all Company locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, headsets, phones and printers.
  • Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
  • Provides telephone, in-person and online remote support to end-users.
  • Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
  • Manages user passwords and access.
  • Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
  • Maintains email services by adding and removing users and accounts.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs technical issues as they arise with a sense of urgency.
  • Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
  • Identifies the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and reports to management.
  • Maintains and tracks IT equipment, records, and software licensing.
  • Performs other duties which may be assigned by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS: *

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an IT/PC Support Role.
  • Experience dealing with all types of users who have a wide range of technical understanding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time objectively.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS (cont’d):

  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Possesses promptness and is diligent with change management.
  • Ability to analyze, implement and evaluate IT systems and their specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot under pressure in a dynamic team setting.
  • Ability to work in an on-call rotation for nights and weekend support as required.
