Must be available to work Full-Time retail hours, including most holidays. Shifts are scheduled between the hours of 9am - 9pm, Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays.

Position Overview
The BDC Service Appointment Coordinator handles a high volume of inbound Service calls from AutoNation dealership locations, working quickly to establish a relationships with the customers, and schedules appointments for these customers to visit our dealership Service Departments for maintenance and repairs.

Who would I interact with?
The BDC Service Appointment Coordinator interacts daily with Call Center Director, Call Center Team Leads, Dealership Service Advisors, Service Support Associates, Service Managers, Corporate and Region Associates working at our Irving office, customers, and other individuals as needed.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
  • Drive business for AutoNation’s Service Center(s) by answering incoming calls in a prompt, polite, and professional manner while addressing customer inquiries and scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Responsible for obtaining and verifying all customer data prior to their scheduled visit to ensure a seamless experience upon arrival.
  • Verify recall information using the specific manufacturer’s warranty website and creating reservations accordingly.
  • Perform Outbound Tasks detailed in the CRM and assigned by the management team, such as: calling through appointment reminders, rebooking no-show appointments, following up on declined opportunities to do business, etc.
  • Offer purchase options for vehicle maintenance packages to customers over the phone with various options for length of contract.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by treating every guest with courtesy, patience, and respect.
  • Monitor and work to maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that are in line with, or exceed, the minimum performance standards set forth by the manufacturer and AutoNation.
  • Provide updates on appointments set and shown by producing reports for Department leadership as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

What are the requirements for this job?
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • 1+ years of customer service, sales, or telemarketing employment background
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications at once
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
