Lead Project Manager – PMO Transformation, #00010, 2 Positions, Dallas, TX
Compensation: $71.80/per hour
PacTel Solutions is looking for a Lead Project Manager for a 6-month contract position with Frontier Communications based out of Dallas, TX.

This role requires a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives within the PMO related to portfolio road mapping, capacity planning, project forecasting and overall governance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of PMO Transformation and Project/Program Management with oversight of multiple cross-functional and inter-connected initiatives, leading programs from inception to completion, including collaborating with stakeholders, apprising leadership of status, and managing issues to resolution. This role will include risk assessment/mitigation, project analytical/reporting activities and serve as key liaison to communication and collaborate with cross-functional Technology and business leaders within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role will be critical to help design, develop, and manage the processes, tools, and reporting standards that comprise Governance for the PMO.
- Engages key stakeholders to develop project workstreams and roadmaps, including project definition, timelines, and impact/valuation and prioritization, to align to department and company goals. Provides timely and accurate project reporting and visibility. Conducts recurring review meetings of the projects and roadmap.
- Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of engagement, execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes.
- Adapts program roadmap to support waterfall, iterative, and agile as needed to support respective system deliverables.
- Incorporates use of PMO tools such as Jira and Confluence to automate reporting and promote transparency to users at all levels and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensures project data is regularly updated to ensure accurate communication of project status. Ensures project status is concise and uses business terminology.
- Provides guidance, leadership and fosters collaboration with project team, internal departments/business units, customers, and vendors to ensure project/team goals are met.
- Manages escalations and engages appropriate leadership/key project stakeholders to resolve significant issues that will impact project deadlines, as needed.
- Assists the program office in standardizing policies and procedures and introducing “best practices” across organizational projects.
- Ensures all project managers understand and utilize the program office published project management governance policies and processes on all projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of project management experience including large scale, complex projects
- PMP, CSM/PSM or equivalent experience
- 5 years of team leadership experience
- Extensive Project Management discipline knowledge and skills as well as Agile certifications and PMO transformation experience
- Strong financial management capabilities and use of Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of project management/collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Experience with technology projects and platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence at all levels and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills complemented by solid business and technical background, and keen interest in business operations, process improvement, and change impact.
- Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
