Maintain a safe pool environment, be prepared for emergencies and respond accordingly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tests chlorine and PH as directed by Aquatics Director.
- Ensures that the pool and swimmers are safe by adhering to posted pool rules. Communicates YWCA pool policies to participants.
- Be aware of activity in the water and on deck, and if necessary respond to emergency situations appropriately.
- Assist instructors as needed.
- Helps maintain a tidy pool deck removing clutter.
- Attends meetings as requested by the Aquatics Director.
- Adheres to the YWCA York policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Certifications required:
Current Lifeguard Certificate
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
