Logistics Planner (Job Number: 2220089 )

Position Summary:

This Logistics Planner position is on site with a customer acting as a primary liaison between the customer and Penske management team. The Logistics Planner supports the coordination of the logistics program at the customers location and works with all parties involved including other 3PL’s, leasing, maintenance, drivers, transportation suppliers, and Penske team members.

SHIFT: Shift is Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in operational administrative duties, which may include check in drivers, filing dispatch logs, administrative paperwork, ordering supplies.

• Provides data/information for management reporting on departmental performance and data-driven decisions.

• Timely and accurate communication of critical issues to manager and customer.

• Other projects as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required

• Two year degree / certificate in Supply Chain Management preferred

• Previous experience in transportation / third party logistics discipline required

• Exercise great attention to detail

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Inter / Intranet use

• Strong problem solving and organization skills required

• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others in a team environment

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
