Description:
Administration of the procurement-to-payment process for materials, parts, contractor labor, and storeroom inventory.
Perform basic accounting functions to support Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Storeroom operations.
Provide administrative services to the Maintenance Dept.
Interact directly with production staff, technical personnel, mechanics, contractors, suppliers, sales and delivery personnel, and remotely with procurement and support personnel across North America.
Process contractor invoices for Accounts Payable.
Reconcile time sheets for contractor labor hours and in-house Maintenance Dept. hours.
Create purchase orders for goods and services.
Perform a weekly inventory inspection of various packaged chemicals and supplies.
Coordinate with outside trash and recycling companies for collection of dumpsters, used containers, and pallets.
Inspect and tag received materials by reviewing the purchase order/packing slip and checking for accuracy.
Assist the Storeroom operator with weekly inventory cycle counts.
Review and archive equipment inspection records.
Support and adhere to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care®, EPA and OSHA initiatives by protecting the environment, health, safety, and security of our employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers, and neighbors.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable in a manufacturing plant environment
Good customer service skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Frequent climbing of steps and ladders, bending, reaching above shoulders
Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds
Strong computer literacy: Windows operating system, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Lotus (IBM) Notes database, SAP enterprise management system
Excellent safety skills
Must comply with OSHA and plant-specific safety procedures
Requires familiarity with environmental, safety, and health practices
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Must be self-motivated, with the ability to problem-solve and work independently
Must have a valid driver’s license in the event a trip to a local supplier is required
Experience with SAP computerized maintenance management system preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
