JOB SUMMARY
Overall management of the Marina operations, property, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains a guest focus while performing duties
- Responsible for the overall Marina operations, including high-and-dry, wet slips, retail center and office
- Ensure quality customer service to all tenants, visitors, vendors and agencies
- Responsible for all aspects of accounting, bookings, contracts, advertising as well as day-to-day activities
- Responsible for all aspects of the fuel dock including safety, staff training, re-ordering, fueling, pricing, maintenance and record keeping
- Responsible for training of dock attendants to ensure they provide the highest level of service while performing their tasks in the safest way possible
- Coordinate routine maintenance on buildings, docks and common areas
- Maintain all compliance requirements (health, safety, water, fire and environmental regulations)
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints
- Must have the ability to supervise employees in a professional manner and communicate effectively
- Oversee and coordinate risk management and insurance renewal protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Flexibility with assignments and work hours. Weekends are required
- Multi-tasking and ability to delegate
- Personnel management experience
- Line handling skills including, ability to tie bowline, half hitch knots, toss and cleat lines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Solid problem-solving skills; the ability to address immediate needs and quickly find resolutions to issues
- A strong willingness to learn – not just the immediate duties, but those of the entire marina operation
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervisor
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPR and or Lifeguard training a plus
- Marina Forklift Operator license and experience is a plus
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in marina management
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Captain's License preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
