Med Tech in Assisted Living Community

Assist in distribution of medication to residents who are elderly.

Keep records updated in the medication E-MAR system (Yardi).

Familiar with the Yardi system or similar platform.

Set-up and assist with self-administration of medication. • Order and receive medication. • Keep all medications in their appropriate storage areas and keep medication cupboards and carts clean and secured at all times.

Regularly review the resident’s medication administration record, centrally stored record, pharmacy transaction record, and report any errors to the Wellness Nurse Director. Keep medication files and medical records current and up to date. • Regular, ongoing communication with the pharmacy, families as needed, residents and management staff.

Manage caregivers as needed.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications • High School Diploma and one to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Medication Aide as required by state.First Aid and CPR Certification as required by state law.

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must be available to work flexible work hours due to requirements of position.
