Position Overview

As the Medical Biller, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will require data analysis, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and sound judgment. Some of your daily responsibilities will include eligibility checks, claim submission, posting payments, appealing denied claims, etc. To succeed in this role, you must possess an in-depth knowledge of billing software (Practice Admin/Trizetto experience a plus) and medical insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Post medical insurance and patient payments

• Follow up on payments and resolve financial discrepancies

• Ensure patient medical information is accurate and up to date

• Examine explanation of benefits statements, electronic remittance advice, and patient

statements to communicate information regarding charges to patients

• Investigate and appeal denied claims

• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Ideal Candidate

• You are knowledgeable in all aspects of medical billing and a critical thinker.

• You are a great team player who is flexible and willing to jump in and help with multiple

projects.

• Excellent phone skills and a courteous and professional manner

• Experience with IDTF and/or Cardiology billing is a plus!

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a medical biller or similar role

• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records

• Practice Admin / Trizetto experience preferred

• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Outstanding problem solving and organizational abilities

• Cardiology experience preferred

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
