Medical Lab Technician

6 Month Contract to hire

10:30PM-7AM Mon- Fri rotating weekends

Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position

perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.Job Responsibilities: Set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment. Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices. Analyze, gather and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs and narratives. Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating and identifying microorganisms for analysis. May examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities. Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.

Preferred skills:
-Bachelors degree in chemcal, biological or clinical lab science or medical technology
-1 year lab experience
-must be willing to perform work with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
-ASCP certified
-2+ years of core lab experience required

Education
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $46.00 per hour
