Medical Records Clerk - UT Primary Care Lenoir City
Job description
UT Primary Care Lenoir City is currently searching for a full-time, experienced Medical Records Clerk to join our team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- answering phones
- collecting patient information
- filing patient information into appropriate chart
- collecting data
- requesting medical records from referring offices
- completion of medical record requests which includes copying and/or faxing
- Filing of all patient information into appropriate medical record such as demographics, labs, reports, hospital records and notes from outside facilities.
- Maintain quality and accurate records.
- Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA.
- Completion of medical records request within 48 hours.
- Completes clerical duties including answering phones, calling referring providers for records and responding to emails.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Physical requirements – sitting, standing, walking, lifting, filing
