PERFORMANCE SUMMARY: The position is responsible for maintaining all records of manufacturing costs and inventory valuation and preparing appropriate reports and summaries of each. Participate in cost and capital analysis projects. Participate in monthly closing process. Assist plants with standard costing procedures. Perform various product line and business profitability analyses. Maintain accounting master data and configurations within SAP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Standard costing process and maintenance of master data.
• Analysis of manufacturing costs and variances.
• Preparation of annual budgets for manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Provide financial assistance to manufacturing plants and operations managers in understanding costs and troubleshooting accounting related transactions.
• Perform various analysis projects related to product profitability.
• Assist manufacturing plants in accurately accounting for inventory.
• Assist with monthly closing process.
• Provide support and user knowledge for SAP testing, maintenance and upgrades.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Accounting degree required

SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have good communication and financial analysis skills with strong spreadsheet and computer skills. Strong SAP or similar ERP system experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
