About the role

Key responsibilities

Reads and follows MOs.
Operates a HMI to set times, run mixer, and empty mixer.
Uses basic math skills, including fractions, to calculate quantities of ingredients needed for partial batches.
Accurately adds ingredients for use in mixes.
Uses sanitary food paddle to push/pull/scrape product out of mixer.
May use forklift to move raw ingredients. Properly documents all ingredients moved and consumed.
Maintains accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients added to batches.
Uses judgment to determine if additional blending time required due to variance in raw material preparation and state.
Assists with detailed cleaning activities in assigned room as well as other areas of plant on a regular basis.
Stages all required materials for pending blends in advance of shift change.
Ensures that all lines have a smooth transition to oncoming shift.
Delivers a clean, well-ordered room to replacement each shift.
Ensures that all bag waste is disposed of or recycled as required.
Ensures that all raw materials staged at the beginning of shift match to specs.
Completes necessary quality checks and sampling requirements for quality lab testing.
Performs all duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP requirements. Adheres to uniform requirements and company PPE requirements.
Ensures all safety rules and PPE requirements are adhered to; communicating issues or concerns that cannot be resolved by crew or supervisors.
Performs all other related duties as required
