Role Description & Details
Shawmut Services LLC (Shawmut) is seeking multiple highly motivated candidates for the role of Project Director for voter registration and canvassing programs across the country throughout the summer and fall of 2022. Project Directors will work directly with Shawmut leadership to develop and implement innovative, effective programs to register and engage voters in a variety of locations. Project Directors will directly manage and oversee all relevant program staff, including Regional Organizing Directors, Organizers, Canvassers, Operations, and Data staff.
The Project Director role is a full-time, salaried position and includes a generous monthly healthcare stipend for the full term of employment with Shawmut. Project Directors must be able to relocate to the project location, and will be required to work in a physical office. She/he/they must be true self-starters and problem solvers, and able to effectively work with and manage a variety of different personalities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and performance of the voter registration or canvassing program, with a focus on fulfilling goals and objectives;
- Day-to-day management of other members of the project team, including data, operations, organizing, recruitment, and training staff;
- Oversight of recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes;
- Along with Shawmut leadership, maintain close communication and engagement with key stakeholders;
- Ensure reporting and accountability protocols are followed to provide up-to-date, actionable data and information to leadership; and,
- Other duties as assigned.
This position will require extensive travel throughout 2022. Applicants must be able to quickly deploy to projects throughout the United States on short (3-5 days) notice.
