Job Summary:

Manufacturing/Building Control Panel and Variable-Frequency Drives in accordance with UL Standards and Safety procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Build Control Panels in accordance with UL 508A Standard and Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Location Specifications. Understand and follow all policies and procedures regarding the building of remote panels and drive cabinets, as well as Safety and Quality Control. Powering and programing Control Panels and troubleshooting issues. Keep shop and work area clean and free from potential hazards. Use of heavy machine equipment to move parts such as hoist, pallet jacks and forklifts. Use of small power and hand tools.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints to wire power circuits and components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills on various tasks around Panel Shop.
• Proficient with safety procedures.
• Knowledge of various tools such as hand and power tools, torquing tools, measuring tools, cutting tools, and PPE.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures for daily flow paperwork, time sheets, and logging information.
• Ability to work with well other team members as well as alone with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform daily, weekly, and monthly Safety and Shop inspections.
• Must be dependable and maintain a proven track record of good attendance. Must also be flexible and willing to work overtime when necessary.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

Certifications or Associates degree in Basic Electric or Industrial Maintenance, and/or at least 1-year related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, and stoop. Must be able to use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to handle all types of climate/weather and work in hot/cold conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
