Paper Converting Machine Operator
About the Role
Positions are available immediately for skilled operators of operating converting equipment that produces napkins, toilet paper, bath tissue and other products within a fast-paced tissue converting environment.

What You Will Do
Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too.
- Able to learn and apply operating and mechanical skills to operate process & equipment efficiently
- Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control
Regarding Mechanical skills/tasks:
- Understands the Safe Operation of equipment, what it does/how it works, housekeeping, inspection, lubrication, and perform simple maintenance tasks
- Perform product and equipment change-overs
- Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according Standard Operating Procedures
- Conduct an effective shift exchange meeting
- Ensure product meets costumer quality standards, correct and address issues as needed
- Complete all required documentation and data files during production
- Meet required hygiene and environmental standards pursuant to customer requirements
Who You Are
- You are able to work a 5 or 7 day 8-hour rotating swing shift with partner responsibility. You are committed to working as a team with your partners and others within the organization.
- Motivated self-starter with strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability, a minimum of one (1) year of prior machine operations and support knowledge, and ability to collaborate with small and large teams to sustain production and drive improvements.
- Familiarity with machines such as Perini Winders, PCMC, and Bretting Folders, Infinity and Provantage automated case packers and other automated finished product delivery systems.

Starting Hourly Wage
$24.65/hour to start, increase to $27.71/hour or more, upon completion of initial training based on specific equipment assignments.
