About Nexplore Makers Club

Nexplore Maker Club is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Education, the Arts, & Mathematics) program designed to inspire kids to pursue futures in science & technology. Students interact with fun Maker Kits that enhance mechanical, artistic, and engineering skills while encouraging them to act as inventors in their own right. Participants design their own remote-controlled hydraulic arms, learn to harness energy to power race cars, and experiment with structural design. Plus, students can keep their inventions and proudly share their projects with family and friends.
Nexplore Makers Club is fully aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, and reminds kids to always explore, experiment, and create!

About Virtual reality

Students will develop games and experiences in virtual reality with CoSpaces, a software that runs on the browser, smartphone, and Google Cardboard.

For example, they’ll be able to make a 3D personal museum with their family history, then strap on VR goggles to walk through the museum.

VR is an emerging technology that may become a household form of entertainment and information this decade.

Nexplore Classes

• Instructors use the Nexplore Games, Art, Magic, Finance, Science, Makers Club, Robocoding curriculum, and lesson plans.
• Materials and resources for the classes will be provided.

Nexplore Instructor Position

• PART-TIME - 1 hour per day (1-3 times a week).
• Locations near you
• Compensation - $40/class (class range between 45-60 minutes)
• Commit to working 1 hour per day in:

3:15-4:15pm

Mondays: Oct 24,31, Nov 14,28, Dec 05

Tuesday: Oct 18,25, Nov 01,08,15,29, Dec 06

Location 2: 10900 Fondern road, Houston TX 77096

4:00-4:45pm

Wednesdays: Oct 19,26, Nov 02,09,16,30, Dec 07,14

Qualifications

• PART-TIME POSITION ONLY!!!!.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Experience working with children
• Educational (development or training) experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit for the schedule
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Car mandatory Requirements
• Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints
• Commit for at least 7 to 8 dates during the school year
