Part-time Bookkeeper – Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

This position requires a hard-working and self-motivated and analytical candidate that can handle a variety of responsibilities with a minimum of errors. This position is responsible for a variety of duties related to accounting. Assists with monthly closings and account analysis.

General Accountabilities

· Invoices all customers from previous day’s shipments.

· Prepares daily invoice report for customers and uploads to portals.

· Processes EDI invoice transactions.

· General accounting duties, including posting bills and receiving payments.

· Performs accounts payable and ensures that all customer statements and vendor invoices are processed accurately.

· Audits small company freight bills (FedEx, UPS, GPO, LSO and On Trac).

· Categorize and track expenses.

· Processes customer credit cards statements and reconciles statements.

· Assists management to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.

· Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

· Assists in clerical, sales, and administrative support such as answering phones, preparing paperwork and maintaining files.

Daily, Weekly, Monthly Tasks

· Accounts payable bill entry including AMEX bill

· Accounts payable, match to bills and mail

· Weekly FedEx rebill for Discount Tire

· Audit high volume freight bills weekly – Fed Ex, UPS, GSO

· Complete inbound/outbound phone calls daily

· Daily supply tracking (Office Depot, Quill, etc.)

· Request statements from vendors every 2 weeks

· Backup on phones

· Back up bookkeeper/logistics clerk on invoicing

· Backup Discount Tire receivable 10th of month

· Backup A/R Customer Check/ACH Deposits

Education and Experience

· Some college in Accounting or related field

· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

· Technical accounting skills

· Previous accounting experience in importing or small manufacturing

· Expert knowledge of Excel and ability to create and manage spreadsheets

· 1-2+ years of experience in the use of Netsuite software

Key Competencies

· Must have 5+ years of experience as a bookkeeper with excellent references.

· Excellent knowledge of Netsuite online.

· Ability and knack for working with numerical data. Attention to detail.

· Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

· Ability to communicate effectively.

· Confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
