BMT Aerospace, Fraser, MI 48026BMT Aerospace is a well established and growing aerospace manufacturing machining company has an immediate opening for a Planner located in Fraser, Michigan.

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for the procurement of a variety of equipment, supplies, raw materials and other goods and services. This role will assist the buyers in the purchasing and logistics team. The position will gather information from engineering and sales departments, resolve supplier invoicing issues, validate changes to purchase orders, and assist with various functions as assigned

Essential Job Functions:

Be responsible for contacting suppliers and gathering information.
Works on cost savings initiatives, sends out request for quotes, and processes purchase orders
Executes plans and projects set forth by Purchasing Management
Creates, builds, and nurtures relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Reviews and investigates emerging markets to maintain market competitiveness
Back up for purchase order generation.
May manage supplier tooling asset tags and photos/docs.
Generate, control and release work orders to manufacturing
Evaluate and report shop load/capacity to management
Evaluate and distribute shop resource dispatch reports
Control Master Production Schedule
Revise and maintain delivery schedules as requested by customer
Create & maintain a master/weekly delivery schedule.

Requirements:

BA/BS Degree in business or related field preferred
Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Must be flexible with the ability to change, adapt and grow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
