With offices in Raleigh, North Carolina; Salem, Oregon; Queens Creek, Arizona and Yakima, Washington, the firm invests throughout the capital stack in over 15 different production agriculture and agribusiness sectors. The team is comprised of agriculture and financial professionals with more than 100 years of agriculture experience and over $60 billion of transaction experience.

Tiverton is seeking a disciplined and resourceful Associate to manage, execute, and grow the firm’s ongoing investment underwriting and management initiatives. The desired candidate will be an experienced, results-oriented professional with the desire to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The candidate will play an integral part of Tiverton’s investment management team, representing the firm with senior management to current and prospective fund investors, while working collaboratively with investment, operations, and asset management teams in day-to-day execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and conduct due diligence and underwriting on private investments (both credit and equity) in the US production agriculture sector

• Build and modify cash flow, valuation and transaction models

• Prepare investment memorandums; present recommendations and due diligence findings to internal committees and investors

• Partner with legal counsel to review deal terms, as well as negotiate and execute investment transactions

• Provide investor support, including some aspects of portfolio management and reporting

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics) from a top-tier university

• GPA of 3.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale

• 2 - 4+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking or management consulting

• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of transaction teams

• Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work for a dynamic and successful organization

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Detail oriented; demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
