The Joining Amazon team is launching a new service, ID Verification (IDV), and we’re seeking a business owner to lead this effort. IDV’s customer will be Amazon and its mission will be to reduce business risk, worldwide. This owner will be responsible for founding this effort and transforming the learnings gathered in the pilot into a business that meets the varied needs of the multiple Amazon groups that require this service. The PM will be responsible for the following, as well as numerous other details not listed. • Managing the relationship with the vendor(s) used to perform key IDV processes; • Owning service relationships with hiring teams, internal Security and Fraud teams, and potentially Customer facing organizations within Amazon; • Building and leading an Operations team to perform verification checking – this team will likely need to provide 24/7/365 coverage; • Building and managing Quality and Compliance processes; • Working with Risk teams, Litigation Legal, and Employment legal worldwide to ensure compliance and effectiveness • Tracking efficacy, improving accuracy, decreasing costs Key job responsibilities The candidate will have successfully: • Managed complex services that are part of business-critical journeys; continuously delivering significant improvements in metrics and customer experience while also adding mechanisms to ensure quality and compliance while working with multiple teams in and/or across organizations. • Been solely accountable for the overall strategy of a large program and successfully managed all stages of execution. • Worked across an organization, managing the interdependencies of business problems, aligned workflows, customer requirements, process limitations, legal or compliance requirements, program support, etc.; Influence other teams’ priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions and ensure the allocation of resources and/or appropriate program adoption needed to deliver the required business outcome, resolve a deficiency, or unblock delivery. • Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs, technical teams, and line employees. • Set the standard for Program Management excellence, recognizing for routinely and efficiently defining clear goals and objectives and deliver the right things. Proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks. • Actively participated in the hiring process as well as in the mentorship of others, improving their skills and ability to get things done. About the team HR Mandatory Document Compliance (MDC) ensures all employees within our in-scope population have a valid and signed Terms of Employment (TOE)/Offer Letter and a Confidentiality Agreement (NDA) (where applicable). The TOE and NDA help Amazon protect its confidential information, intellectual property, strategies and customer relationships. To accomplish this, MDC owns and enacts global programs, processes, and reporting mechanisms that collectively aim to ensure compliance. MDC is also responsible for developing and driving the roadmap to digitize the signing experience for new hires of all levels wherever legally permissible, removing the administrative requirements of printing, shipping, scanning, and wet-signature processes from recruiting, local HR, and Employee Services teams.

Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
