Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Project Engineer at our aerospace location in Chula Vista, CA. The primary focus of this role is to technically and commercially support ongoing engineering projects.

• Hybrid> 70% onsite - 30% remote
• Onsite> Tues-Wed-Thurs Remote> Mon & Fri

Roles & responsibilities include:

• Support and champion continuous improvement initiatives on processes and technical issues.
• Create and maintain cases within CRM
• Develop technical inputs and provide input for tool designs/revisions
• Develop and monitor performance metrics, including data collection
• Review and verify customer contractual compliance with its licensing network

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or other STEM discipline.
• 2 years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing/tooling environment, aerospace preferred.
• Intermediate experience with certification framework or configuration/change management.
• High intermediate experience with MS Office
• Intermediate experience with 2-D drawings

Desired skills:

• CATIA V5
• GD&T
• Teamcenter (product lifecycle management)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
