Summary
Project Financial Analyst maintains and provides accurate and data based information on company's profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity of its projects. The role research's and analyzes financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with operations and management to ensure cost forecasting reports are consistently check and applied.
- Provide creative alternatives and analytical support to project managers and their projects.
- Monitor and document actual and estimate reports.
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models.
- Identify trends, stay up-to-date on project budgets and project spending.
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field.
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
- Responsible for the implementation of new software, Sage Construction Project Center (CPC). Train project managers, project engineers, project coordinators and members of the accounting team on this software.
- Train project managers on project document control updates.
- Lead accounting department and project managers in monthly Work in Progress (WIPS) meetings.
- File, route, and process all master contracts with our customers and vendors.
- Verify that all COIs are updated and sent out properly during yearly renewal.
- Update sheet-metal pricing and input cost for each job that utilizes the sheet-metal shop each month.
- Gather sheet-metal inventory information and calculate current inventory on a monthly basis.
- Facilitate employee payroll deductions for personal tools.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- 3 - 5 years of financial, statistical, accounting, or business data experience.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from Four‑year College or university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field,
- Associate's degree with 2 additional years of experience

- Be proficient in speadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications and Outlook
- Statistical analysis and statistical packages

- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Excellent/Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic trade knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and controls
- Meet time schedules, deadlines, and plan and organize work
- Work confidently with discretion and independently with little direction
- Work cooperatively with others using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field
- Work with confidential data with discretion
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with others

- Analyze situations accurately and determine an effective course of action
- Operate computer terminal, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and e-mail functions
