Our Registered Nurses on the Medical/Surgical Acute Unit 4th Floor are committed to quality and excellence in care, including patient education through our Stride program designed to equip our patients with the knowledge to help them through their plan of care before, during, and post-hospitalization. The patient population includes stroke patients and cardiac patients.

We invite you to join our team of highly engaged Registered Nurses in a team-oriented and welcoming environment, you will:

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning, and implementing a plan of care
• Evaluate patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• Manage the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team
• Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

This is a Full Time, (72 hrs/pay period) fully benefitted, 12-hour Day shift position located at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest.

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

• One year RN working experience
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
• Current CA RN License
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• One year RN experience in an Acute or LTAC setting
• NIHHS Stroke Certification preferred
