Position: Rig Welder
Location: Midland, Texas
Schedule : 5/2

Job Summary :
- Assists in maintenance & repair of equipment and facilities per directions given by Oxy Construction Leads.
- Be able to perform welding on various materials at required position using SMAW
Lay out, position, fit and weld various piping and structural components, including pipes, flanges, fittings, valves, piping supports, structural plates, beams, etc., as specified by Oxy Construction Leads - Follow fitting procedures and principles used in fabrication of production facilities
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures
- Adjust valves, gauges, and flames as needed and be capable of handling compressed gas and oxygen cylinders safely
- Operate grinder, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes
- Participate in safety observations
Requirements:
- 3+ years of previous rig welding; prior experience in fabrication required
- Must be able to cut with a torch
- Must be able to interpret ISO’s and P&ID’s
- Must be able to cut with a torch
- Prior experience in making roll out welds/positions welds
- Able to take field measurements and draw up ISO's
- Experience using safe work habits
- Candidates will be required to complete at a minimum: 12" Butt & Branch Weld Test - SMAW
