Responsible for, but not limited to wrapping finished product and pallets for shipment to the customer and to maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Wrap rolls produced on the slitters;
- Wrap pallets when finished to be shipped to customers;
- Wrap pallets produced on night shift;
- Bring empty pallets to slitter and take away when complete;
- Keep area neat and clean;
- Vacuum wrap stations, core cutter, and around slitter;
- Prepare all waste for pick up;
- Follow ISO SOP’s as trained.
Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Assist driver in loading waste on to truck as needed
- Train to run slitters to relieve for breaks;
- Inventory shipping supplies and report;
- Perform other plant support activities as requested by production supervision;
Physical Job Demands:
This position requires being on your feet a majority of the working day; able to lift 50 lbs. to waist level without assistance; requires a great deal of twisting, bending, and walking; able to use a forklift (trainable).
Skills/Abilities to Meet Job Requirements:
General comfort with and the ability to operate machinery and equipment; able to take directions from supervisor or machine (slitter) operator; able to work with deadlines and changing priorities; demonstrated accuracy with numbers and information; punctual.
