We have a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant in our home office in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
Senior Accountant Job Purpose: Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.
Senior Accountant Job Duties:
- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and other sources
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Reconciles Subsidiary to General Ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
- Prepares schedules and reports for Annual Audit.
- Quickly establish credibility and become a fully engaged, respected partner within the finance team, actively participating in the decision-making process, helping to drive efficiencies and improvement with deadlines, timelines, and presentation of financial information
- Work closely with Accounting Manager and CFO providing leadership to team of accountants
Experience/Skills:
- Accounting: 5 years in healthcare setting (Preferred)
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information
- Experience with broad application of both financial and clinical information systems
- Great decision-making skills derived from a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgement
- Able to work effectively under tight deadlines and be responsive to others
- Great interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate others and bring consensus and accountability through teamwork
- Deadline-Oriented with great time management skills
- Excellent attention to Detail
- Knowledge or working experience with financial reporting standards for SEC and/or OTC Markets
