Here's how a(n) Senior Accountant for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Completes all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares bank deposits and/or monthly reconciliations and prepares subsequent cash receipt entries where required.
- Assists in daily treasury management duties.
- Processes monthly credit card statements.
- Performs various accounting duties and projects as assigned.
- Address book maintenance – vendor setup and management.
- Performs general accounting and administrative functions.
- Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements.
- Provides management with ad hoc analysis and other reconciliations.
- Prepares/maintains current process documentation for the accounting department.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in accounting.
- Active pursuit of accounting designation considered an asset.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Understanding of full-cycle accounting.
- Knowledge of government legislation and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and desire to work in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software, JDE E1 experience an asset.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 annually dependent on experience
