Position Location: Houston, Texas, USA
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. This position reports to the Greens Bayou/Winnie Plant Manager and will be based at our Greens Bayou Plant in Houston, TX 77015.
Purpose of Job
Organize and plan all maintenance work at the Green Bayou and Winnie plants. Responsible for safely and efficiently planning work orders to maximize labor productivity, ensure smooth maintenance execution, and minimize equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for Green Bayou and Winnie
- Coordinates with other departments (SHE, Operations, etc.) to ensure efficient and effective planning/scheduling of maintenance activities
- Develop detail job work scope packages for fitters/welders, boilermakers, insulators, scaffolding, etc.
- Coordinates balance between resources and workload
- Plan both short term and long-term work (unit outages/turnarounds)
- Procure and manage rental equipment
- Maintain work orders in SAP, and input notifications as needed.
- Back-fill for maintenance scheduler when needed
- Availability to take calls after hours and weekends. Coordinate maintenance technicians during emergency call outs
- Procure materials, and services for work orders. Manage delivery, storage, and staging of materials.
- Track progress on work planned, and provide updates during our daily scheduling meeting
- Compliance for departmental initiatives within their sphere of influence, aim for continuous improvement
- Act in accordance with Sasol's policies/procedures on Safety, Health, and Environmental. Plan for maintenance activities accordingly
- Participate in internal and external audits, toolbox/safety discussions, and task safety observation program
- Maintain all documentation and systems as required by RCMS, and ISO
Formal Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates/Bachelor Degree preferred
Working Experience
- 10 years’ experience in a chemical plant.
- 5 years in a planning capacity is preferred
- Experience in execution of management systems including RCMS and ISO-9001
- Experience with behavioral safety and safety awareness processes
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- SAP MM/PM knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Working knowledge of maintenance processes, and procedures
- Experience in planning/scheduling routine work preferred
- Experience in turnaround management preferred
- Able to read and interpret mechanical/process drawings and documents
- Must be able to communicate clearly using written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills desired
