Senior Technical Business Analyst (100% Remote)

Job Summary: *

The Senior Technical Business Analyst supports EmployBridge and provides detailed data analysis, mapping and modeling to the Enterprise Architecture Team to enable mission critical data movement and integration aligning the right technical solutions with business needs. The Senior Technical Business Analyst is a hybrid role that is a fusion of the technical business, data and integration analyst roles. They partner with internal customers and stakeholders to understand both their business objectives and requirements so that they accurately define, analyze, interpret and relate data across the enterprise to help in decision making. Also, they work closely with the business owners, data owners and the enterprise architecture team to ensure that data is documented as part of the business processes, providing traceability through the organization to illustrate strategic and tactical enterprise goals. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication and group presentation skills, strong analytical and data analysis skills and great written communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand the pros and cons of technical options available to organizations for the effective, efficient, and high-quality flow of cross-system data and be able to make appropriate recommendations

• Perform cross-system analysis and data mapping associated with mission critical integration activities
• Involved in requirements gathering, source data analysis, and identified business rules for data mapping
• Ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected data, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
• Act as a liaison between key teams conveying information and data constraints to the business
• Conduct data investigations in response to operational assessments, self-driven investigations, and stakeholders’ inquiries.
• Document source to target data mappings, data models and data flow diagrams
• Conduct insightful, ad hoc root cause analysis to investigate and diagnose ongoing or one-time issues
• Analyze and interpret data into non-technical language to provide insights to business users
• Actively liaise between business and technical teams to achieve and support business goals
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, analyze complex data and compare multiple sources of information to effectively document the data flow
• Contribute to Enterprise Architecture team by providing relevant understanding of system integration concerns and data flow
• Actively participate in the weekly and project stand up meetings

• Experience with Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent for graphical flow representations

Qualifications: *

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years working as a data analyst or data scientist
• 4+ years of Technical Business Analysis experience required
• Strong data integration experience required
• Sound knowledge of data structures like JSON, XML, and AVRO
• Detailed-oriented with a proven history as a self-starter who can work independently
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and communicate actionable insights from research findings
• Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills
• Experience working in a matrixed organization
• Ability to obtain, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources
• Ability to read and write SQL
• Ability to create and read Data Models with understanding of the roles of Primary and Foreign Keys
• Ability to create data maps and analyze transformation requirements for effective data sharing and movement
• Extensive experience creating Business and Functional Requirement and Specification Documents
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Staffing Industry experience nice to have
• Strong proficiency in the use of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio) for reports, analysis, and presentations

• A./ B.S. in business, engineering, computer science, technology or related field required
