ZTEX Construction, LLC., locally owned and operated in El Paso, Tx. is a heavy civil contractor specializing in earthwork, asphalt paving and overall project management. We are currently looking for an experience Skill Labor who will be responsible for handling, visual inspection of PE pipe, backfill inspection and install pipe protective material upon inspection. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of work practices related to the construction field.

We are currently hiring Skilled Laborers who meets the following requirements:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have experience installation of Poly Pipe for Natural Gas.

Visual inspection, Backfill inspections.

Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.

Hand dig when necessary.

Provide spotter for equipment operator.

Protect pipeline when exposed.

Tracer wire installation.

Load, unload, and operate tools

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 years of experience

Current Operator Qualified (OQ) Certification a Plus or must be able to pass the OQ Test

Must be able to follow instructions and comply with our Safety rules and Procedures

Must have working knowledge of all tools, materials and machinery needed to perform the job

Ability to understand, follow and transmit written or oral instructions

Must be work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements, heat/cold temperatures, wind, rain, blowing dust

Able to work around moving equipment and tolerate loud noise levels

Bend and stoop repeatedly throughout the day

Able to push, pull and lift 50+lbs

Able to walk and stand for long periods of time

Able to walk on rough, rocky and uneven surfaces at construction sites

Bi-lingual a Plus
