Position Summary
The Sr. Director, Accounting is responsible for leading a team of over 30 people and overseeing all Accounting related services for over $9B of annual US Oncology practice revenue and all key financial statements. This role requires strong collaboration with FSS, PSAS Controllership, FP&A, Finance Operations and is responsible for ensuring an effective control environment, corporate consolidation, and internal financial reporting.

This role requires strong collaboration with FSS, PSAS Controllership, FP&A, Finance Operations and is responsible for ensuring an effective control environment, corporate consolidation, and internal financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads Accounting services includes production of financial statements, quality of earnings analysis by customer, coordination of all support shared services (fixed assets, accounts payable, treasury, GPO accounting, intercompany relationships, etc.), balance sheet management, control environment, contractual compliance, contractual settlements, customer acquisitions and divestitures, and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintains enterprise accounting policies, developments segment level operating processes, fiscal controls, prepares financial reports, and safeguards the organization’s assets.
- Ensures application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and compliance of all contractual agreements.
- Sets strategy and directs initiatives across segment accounting function through leadership team.
- Coordinates and develops strong partnerships with USON RFDs/Controllers, NAFSS, ARC, PSaS, and GCR organizations.
- Responsible for ensuring effective control environment, corporate consolidation, and internal financial reporting, including HFM schedules, statement of cash flow coordination, flux analysis, and department scorecard.
- Recruit, manage, and develop the team to meet the needs of the assigned practices and create an environment where top performers are rewarded and challenged to take on increasing levels of responsibilities. High degree of process efficiency with focus toward high value activities, automation, scalable processes, and analysis.
- Perform special projects as assigned. This position is expected to possess the skills and initiative to carry out special financial or planning projects of varying nature and complexity with limited supervision by clarifying objectives and assumptions or making appropriate judgments where necessary. This may include analysis of acquisitions, divestitures, investments, integrations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of Accounting and manager experience.
Critical Skills
- Experience developing and managing strategic financial projects / programs.
- Proven success in building effective business partnerships at senior level
- Strong ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations to C-Suite decision makers
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple project
- Ability to develop others and build bench strength
Education:
