This job will be performed at our main office, located in White River Junction, Vermont, 72 South Main Street.

Scope of Job:

Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records for ARIS Solutions by overseeing financial transactions in accounting software, following GAAP and service regulations, providing financial customer support, and reporting financial position monthly. The Staff Accountant also carries the responsibility of maintaining all cash and card accounts and ensuring reconciliation and balance positive totals monthly.

Qualifications and Skills Level:

· Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, preferred.

· 6-8 years’ Full Charge Bookkeeping experience or 2+ years’ relevant experience with a BS in Accounting.

· Extensive knowledge and the ability to adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

· Necessary computer skills for the position: Proficient with Microsoft Office and complex accounting software platforms. Experience with Multiview software is a plus.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, vendors, auditors, and all levels of company personnel.

Duties and Essential Functions

General Ledger (GL)

· Supervise the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts; ensure the correct GL accounts are debited and credited accordingly.

· Prepare journal entries, such as bi-weekly payroll, monthly allocations and adjusting entries and approve.

Financial Statements and Reporting

· Reconcile balance sheet account into the month-end audit binder utilizing reconciliation worksheet.

· Create, Maintain and Prepare Monthly Statement of Activities and Balance sheet for the month-end audit binder in Multiview Viewpoint software.

· Additional reporting requirements as needed and can vary.

Support

· Assist with the annual budget.

· Prepare and gather necessary data to complete audit process. Provide outside auditors with assistance.

· Perform administrative and financial requests for both the external and internal customer.

· Provide support to Senior Bookkeeper(s) to meet their deadlines and agency responsibilities.

· Work with all other ARIS departments with new software implementations to ensure successful integration with accounting software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
