Tendit Group is searching for a Staff Accountant to join us in our home office. This position requires experience in accounting for construction and/or service related contracts, attention to detail, and knowledge and experience in general corporate accounting functions. This position will provide Tendit Group’s overall business with accounting support and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure costs and revenues are recorded accurately for each project.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Closing financial periods on a monthly basis
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Perform bank and other general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist with annual audit as well as periodic insurance audits
  • Prepare reporting for accounts payable
  • Prepare and update procedure guides
  • Oversee and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Other tasks as needed
Requirements:

What You Will Need:

  • Must have a degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in work environment
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • A Willingness to come in every day to find a way to improve on what we did the previous day
  • Prior use of Sage Intacct or other similar accounting software
  • Willingness to learn and has a desire to advance their career in accounting.
  • Be someone who is ethical and discreet, values time management, is highly organized, punctual, and able to work in a dynamic team environment
