Summary/Objective
The employee in this position assists the chefs with the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Essential Functions

1. Assists in all aspects of back of the house cleanliness and organization as directed by the Executive Chef.
2. Assists with buffet set-ups in all areas of the club.
3. Assists with storeroom orderliness, walk-in cooler cleanliness, and chemical storage.
4. Assists with transportation of food from kitchens to outlets or banquets.
5. Responsible for trash, refuse, and grease removal, including dock maintenance.
6. Assists in any areas as needed.
7. Assists the cooks, when time allows, and with basic culinary preparation.
8. Completes all heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional kitchen environment. The person in this role routinely uses standard kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work fluctuate Tuesday through Sunday.
Required Education and Experience
1. Must work well with others.
2. Must work quickly without wasting time.
3. Must be dependable and have a desire to grow within the company.
4. Must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lbs., coordinate the movement within the back of the house of heavy equipment, and handle china and glassware carefully so as not to damage it.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1 year kitchen experience.
- A willingness to learn and any other specialized skills are considered an advantage for this position.
