Job description
The Student and Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for engaging, guiding, following up on students through the life cycle of a student at Remington College and continuing engagement activities to alumni through the Remington College Alumni Association. This position will be working with new and continuing students along with alumni, faculty, staff and management at various Remington Colleges location(s). The Student and Alumni Engagement Coordinator is the consummate college ambassador and consistently works to cultivate relationships with internal and external partners
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all College policies and procedures and always operates within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.
- Improve student and alumni engagement through coordination with and communication about the Student and Alumni Engagement initiatives to achieve improved student and graduate outcomes.
- Analyze reports to identify academic issues affecting student progression and develop, implement, and works with campus leadership to evaluate plans to address those issues.
- Help current and prospective students locate support services, including but not limited to housing, medical and legal services, hospitals, churches, transportation, and childcare.
- Coordinate alumni events, alumni communication, and support Institutional Advancement initiatives.
- Responds to students and alumni needs and/or requests for service and assistance and coordinates campus connections.
- Maintains a current resource list, and documents student assistance in student database.
- Collaborate with Program Chairs and faculty to develop interventions to improve student success, as needed.
- Monitor completion rate data in order to identify student withdrawal trends and notify faculty and Program Chairs of areas that require improvement.
- Maintain documentation of student and alumni engagement activities.
- Coordinate on campus student and alumni activities.
- Coordinate community outreach activities and develop business partnerships.
- Maintains professional and effective working relationships with all other College personnel.
- Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the College.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Performs the job on site when required. Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required. Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in either English, Communications, Education, and counseling is preferred.
Experience:
- Knowledge of basic computers applications (Email, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams). Knowledge of Anthology student management system is preferred.
- Experience in student and alumni engagement or institutional advancement is preferred.
- Experience in working in the education field, as teacher, administrator or other administrative duties is preferred.
