Our practice continues to grow and we are excited to have the opportunity to expand our team. Wisconsin Institute of Urology is a busy office with multiple providers working each day allowing for a lot of opportunity to work with patients scheduling their upcoming surgical procedures.

This position works with a team of Surgery Schedulers with assigned Providers. The surgery scheduler assists the providers with coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures at area hospitals and at Wisconsin Institute of Surgical Excellence. The position works directly with other offices to coordinate schedules and providers as needed for more complex surgeries. The surgery scheduler places proper CPT and diagnosis codes in documentation in order to ensure that prior authorizations are obtained and that scheduling is accurate. The optimal candidate will be self-motivated and able to make decisions independently, they are able to prioritize and manage time efficiently. The right candidate for this position must be able to communicate clearly and effectively over the phone and in person. This position is responsible for educating patients on scheduled surgical procedures within the appropriate guidelines developed by the clinic

The ideal candidate will have worked directly scheduling patients for surgeries and procedures including coordinating primary care visits for surgical clearance when needed. The ideal candidate is very familiar with EPIC and placing orders. We have a solid training and orientation program that helps you get established as a valuable part of the clinical team. Previous Urology experience is not required, but is helpful. Company scrubs are provided.
